Moving Update
We did it! Thank you for the successful move yesterday. I appreciate your flexibility. We achieved the 1st big step in the moving process:
-
- Almost all of us are relocated to our new temporary spaces with the essentials that we need. (Finance will move after the books are closed for April)
- The copiers were moved to other locations in the church on Wednesday morning.
- The new mail procedures are now in place. Remember, all incoming and outgoing mail should be picked-up/dropped-off at the Print Shop. (See Staff Portal for specific details)
- If you are having any difficulty with connectivity, printing, etc, please contact IT by emailing Help@PeachtreeChurch.com.
But the move is not complete. We must prepare the Sanctuary and Sunday School buildings to turn over to Gay Construction to begin their 16-month renovations on May 29th.
Moving 4-Week Forecase
In preparation for May 29th, the following weeks will look like the following:
Week of May 8th – Labeling of Furniture for Storing and Donations
DO NOT MOVE OR REMOVE FURNITURE. Please do not remove any furniture from any office that is not yours personally. To my knowledge, all personal belongings have been removed from the offices. We have a plan for all furniture that is currently located in the offices and classrooms. If you have any questions regarding furniture, please contact the Special Projects Team – Rodney or Heather.
Week of May 15th – Furniture to Storage
All items set for reuse in the permanent office space will be removed from property (collected from our vacated space) and stored off sight by Flood Brotheres. Please note that all furniture in the new office spaces will be NEW and will match. This is why we are using tables in the temporary work areas.
But we will redeploy some of the soft seating, conference furnishings and other items in common areas so it’s essential they are preserved and stored.
Week of May 22nd – Furniture to Donation & Fencing Going Up
Flood Brothers will return to the church to remove the remaining furniture set for donation and deliver it to the donation locations. By May 26th, all areas of the main campus need to be cleared for renovations to begin.
Temporary construction fencing will be installed on the front lawn of the church and the front circle drive will be closed.
Week of May 29th
Sunday School and Sanctuary buildings are no longer accessible until the construction is completed.
